The Committee of ICT Directors in Tertiary Institutions (COMDICT) has commenced a nationwide ICT Infrastructure Audit across universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
The exercise aims to gather detailed data on internet capacity, data-center readiness, cybersecurity posture, automation levels, and digital-learning facilities in all federal and state institutions.
According to the executive council, the audit will help:
- Identify infrastructure gaps
- Standardize ICT operations across campuses
- Guide government and donor agencies on investment priorities
- Improve digital-learning delivery and data management
The project is expected to provide the first unified ICT baseline report for Nigeria’s tertiary-education system.
